A mandala is a complex abstract design that is usually circular in form. In fact, "mandala" is a Sanskrit word that means "circle". Mandalas generally have one identifiable center point, from which emanates an array of symbols, shapes and forms.
Mandalas can contain both geometric and organic forms. They can also contain recognizable images that carry meaning for the person who is creating it.
In essence, mandalas represent the connection between our inner worlds and outer reality. Designing your own mandalas can be both inspirational and therapeutic.

Hi, my name is Shiwani, and I am a mandala artist.
Before I started diving into in the world of pencil shading and mandalas, I am a student and a working woman who happens to have interest in mandala art and sketching. II am not a full time artist as this is my hobby and I am focusing on learning new varieties of desiging as well. Through the creation of mandala art and pencil shading practice, I myself have become more creative, and find this kind of hobby peaceful. I want to share at least a drop of this experience with as many people as possible and show them a simple technique of expressing themselves, even if they have no prior practical experience in art.
